What Does an Intelligent Water-Heater Controller Do?

The controller receives instructions from CCEC to adjust your electric water heater during times of peak demand. If the water stored in the tank drops to a preset temperature, the water-heater switch will automatically override the control and turn your water heater back on. This small action, multiplied across hundreds of members' homes, will create savings on wholesale power costs for the entire cooperative membership.
