Beginning with October bills, CCEC members will see a $1 per 1,000 kWh Wholesale Power Tier Adjustment (WPTA) credit on their bill. The CCEC Board of Directors approved the credit at its September meeting.
The WPTA is a rate adjustment that allows CCEC to respond to changes in the cost of wholesale power—the electricity CCEC purchases to serve members. The adjustment can increase or decrease based on changes in wholesale power costs and is designed to help keep rates aligned with the actual cost of providing electricity.
The WPTA will appear as a separate line item on your bill. Because it is based on energy use, the credit will vary from member to member.
