CCEC is pleased to welcome Dr. Larry S. Paul, Jr., D.V.M., as the Cooperative’s new District 3 Director.
A lifelong resident of the area, Dr. Paul brings more than four decades of local business experience and extensive civic involvement to the CCEC Board. District 3 has been his home for more than 70 years, first on his family’s Adams Creek farm and later on their farm west of Havelock.
Dr. Paul earned his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University in 1976, graduating with high honors, and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1980, also with high honors. He spent more than 40 years as a partner and owner of Havelock Animal Clinic and Havelock Animal Hospital, and was also a partner/owner of Coastal Pet Clinic in Bayboro from 1993 to 2001.
His commitment to the community extends well beyond his veterinary practice. Dr. Paul has served with numerous civic and community organizations, including the Havelock-Cherry Point Rotary Club, where he served as president as well as director, treasurer and secretary. He is a Paul Harris Fellow. His community service has also included the Neuse River Foundation, Craven County Board of Health, Craven Soil and Water Conservation District, Craven County Township Six Volunteer Fire Department, Craven County Farm Bureau and Craven County Agricultural Advisory Board.
As a longtime CCEC member, Dr. Paul says he has valued the Cooperative’s reliable, affordable service throughout his life. Now retired, he looks forward to bringing his local knowledge, business experience and commitment to community to the Cooperative’s Board of Directors.
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Larry Paul as CCEC’s new District 3 Director.
