In the coming months, CCEC will introduce a new All-Energy Time-of-Use rate. If you are currently enrolled in the demand-based TOU rate before Oct. 1, 2026, you may choose to remain on it. However, some changes will be made to the current demand-based TOU rate on Oct. 1. We have included a side-by-side comparison to help explain what will change.

What is changing?
Beginning Oct. 1:
- Base grid charges will increase slightly.
- The on-peak demand charge will remain $11.84 per kW.
- The energy charge will increase slightly.
- The summer season will begin April 1 and run through October 31.
- The winter season will run November 1 through March 31.
- Weekends and holidays will now be included in on-peak days.
- The current WPCA will be incorporated into the base energy rate, eliminating the separate WPCA charge. The new WPTA will be $0.00 per 1,000 kWh or may appear as a small credit.
This rate will no longer enroll new members.
A new all-energy TOU option is coming
In the coming months, CCEC will introduce a new all-energy Time-of-Use rate. Unlike the current demand-based rate, the new plan does not include a demand charge. Instead, the energy you use will be priced according to three time periods:
- Super Off-Peak – 5.5¢/kWh
- Off-Peak – 6.5¢/kWh
- On-Peak – 40¢/kWh
The on-peak times and seasons for the new all-energy TOU rate will be the same as the updated demand-based TOU rate. Weekends and holidays will also be included as on-peak days.
