How would you like to forget about paying your electric bill? Wouldn't that be pleasant,
especially when you're out of town and you just know your electric bill is sitting in your
mailbox, ticking away like a time bomb? You really can forget about paying and quit
worrying about that past-due date when you're away. How? With Draft Billing, a service
provided by Carteret-Craven Electric Cooperative.
With Draft Billing you arrange for
the amount of your electric bill each month to be sent directly from your checking account
to Carteret-Craven. This offers you several advantages. First, there is the convenience.
You don't have to write a check and mail it, nor do you have to drive to the Cooperative
office to deliver the payment. Another advantage is that you will have one less thing to
worry about each month. How many times have you almost forgotten to pay your electric
bill? With Draft Billing you just don't have to think about it.
These advantages are particularly important for people who travel a lot. No matter how
long you are out of town, your electric bill will be paid. That means that your water
heater, refrigerator, freezer, etc. will continue to do their jobs. It also means that you
won't be bothered with late notices or disconnects because you weren't here to pay your
bill.
You will still receive a bill each month. You do not have to send a payment, but you
will know how much will be drafted from your account. When you begin Draft Billing you
will also be notified of the time each month that your account will be drafted. Combine
Draft Billing with the Equalizer Payment Plan and not only will you never have to send a
payment, but you will also be able to deduct the same amount from your account balance
each month. Why not let the Cooperative write your check for you in the form of a bank
draft? Just contact us here at 1-800-682-2217 or 252-247-3107 and we'll send you the information you need
to get started. (Or
you can download and print this application by clicking here) All we'll need from you is an authorization form signed and a deposit slip
from your checking account. It's that simple.
