HELPFUL TIPS - WATERS HEATERS |
To save money and
to extend the life of your water heater, drain a bucket of water from
the heater tank periodically (once every 2-3 months) to prevent a
build-up of sediment.
Sediment creates an
unwanted layer of insulation between the heating element and the water,
which means less heat gets to the water and more heat is wasted. The
“harder” the water in your area, the more quickly sediment builds up and
the more frequently draining is advisable. Sediment build up can also
shorten the life of your element.
