The cooperative has two different residential rates, summer (for bills
mailed June through October) and winter (for bills mailed November
through May). You pay a kWh charge based on the season and a facility
charge that is the same each month. Additionally, you may see a
wholesale power cost adjustment, which reflects energy costs caused by
the fluctuation in price for the fuels that generate electricity.
If you track usage, be sure to
note the number of "billing days" in the cycle. That can
change from month to month.
Remember, too, that extremes in
hot weather and cold weather are likely to be reflected in your bill.
Moving your thermostat just a few degrees can significantly change
your bill.
You can view your power bill and
usage for the past 12 months on your PowerPay 24 site.
