Rather than have
to type in your account number each time you go to the
PowerPay site, you can key it in once and click
the "save my settings" box. (Note: Service works best

COMMUNICATIONS - ANNUAL MEETING |
Pursuant to Cooperative By-Laws, Carteret-Craven
holds an Annual Meeting of Members each year.
During the meeting,
results of the Board of Directors* election are announced and any
specific business that needs to come before the members is reported.
*Your cooperative is run by a Board of Directors
who serve three-year terms. Each year three seats are up for
selection. The election is held by mail and if there is a
challenge to any seat, ballots are mailed to the members. To find
out how to run and serve on the Board of Directors, contact our Human
Resources Department at 252-727-2228.
CCEC's service area is
divided into 10 districts. Directors are elected for three-year terms.
To be eligible to be a cooperative director, a member must:
* have been a member
for no less than two years; receive electrical service from the
cooperative at his or her primary residence, which must be in the
director district that he or she represents;
* not be a close
relative of an incumbent director or an employee of the cooperative; not
be employed by or financially interested in a competing enterprise or a
business selling electric energy, service, or supplies to CCEC;
* not have been
convicted of a felony or any misdemeanor involving moral
turpitude;
* be a United States
citizen; be at least 18 years old;
* not have been
declared mentally incompetent unless competency has been legally
restored;
* at the time of
taking office, not be a close relative of a former member of the Board
of Directors who resigned from the board or died within two years
preceding the time of taking office;
* and not have been
employed by CCEC or have previously been an officer or director of or
employed in any policy-making position by an electric, telephone,
natural gas or other utility.

The 70th Annual Meeting of
Carteret-Craven Electric Cooperative (CCEC) was held on Thursday,
May 6, 2010, at Glad Tidings Church on Country Club Road in Morehead
City, N.C. The following directors were elected to three-year terms:
District #2 - J. Henry Davis, District #6 - Roger Jones, District #8 -
Thom Styron.
